This CSCS Health and Safety Awareness Training Course is delivered in a classroom with a qualified trainer. The course is held in one day over 6 hours.
After completing the CSCS Health and Safety Awareness Training Course and successfully passing a CITB Health and Safety Environmental computer exam, candidates will be able to hold a Green CSCS Labourer Card.
This qualification delivers an essential understanding of the key terms, legal responsibilities and reasons for good health and safety on a construction site. Students will also learn about risk assessments and method statements, personal protective equipment, emergencies and first aid, reporting accidents, fatalities and ill-health in a construction environment. The content of this qualification will also prepare learners for their CITB test.
All candidates must possess a good understanding of reading, speaking and writing English. This course will be carried out in English and as such, it is important that candidates can communicate in English.
Following successful passing of the CSCS Health and safety course, candidates will hold a IOSH Certificate valid for 5 years. This can then be renewed with another course to refresh their knowledge and update their CSCS Card.
CITB HSE Computer Test is valid for 2 years, this can be renewed when your CSCS card approaches its expiry date. However, we recommend renewing your computer test every 2 years to avoid disappointment and to keep up to date with all relevant health & safety information.
