This 6 hour one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is a wonderful introduction to first aid training. This training will assist you in meeting the requirements of the 1981 Health and Safety Regulations in accordance with currently accepted first aid practice.
The EFAW 6-hour training is an excellent way to get started with First Aid. Learners will depart with the confidence to cope competently with life-threatening emergencies. Our instructors are Emergency Services professionals who have ‘been there and done it for real.’
The online Emergency First Aid at Work course covers:
- Role of a First Aider
- Priorities of First Aid
- Managing an Incident
- Causes and care of the unconscious casualty
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Bleeding and Shock
- Choking
- Burns and Scalds
- Anaphylaxis
- Manage the Transportation of a Casualty
- Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
- Practical demonstration and use of an AED
Following successful completion of the course, each student is awarded with a HSE Certificate which is valid for 3 years. Under current guidelines it is strongly recommended that you refresh your Emergency First Aid skills once every 12 months through a half day refresher course.
The trainers employed by Safety Alert are presently working or ex emergency service professionals. Each trainer has many years of life saving experiences and techniques to share with you.
