About the SSSTS & First Aid Course
The CITB SSSTS is a 2-day training course for construction professionals who wish to become Site Managers. This course is an in-depth course and demonstrates the responsibilities of a manager and how to meet the demand for good health and safety management on site. With this SSSTS course, you can keep your workforce safe on site through effective management and reduce the overall risk of accidents.
BUILD UK recognises the SSSTS training course as an industry requirement for all staff including managers, supervisors, foremen, project managers and client facing staff in order to have the most appropriate training in managing safety on site.
Once the SSSTS Training course is completed, you will be certificated for 5 years. In order to renew your SSSTS training certificate, you will have to undergo a 1 day refresher course.
The 3 day First Aid at Work course is our most advanced First Aid course. This course is recommended for those who work in a high risk environment such as construction, manufacturing and railroads.
Upcoming SSSTS & First Aid Courses
This SSSTS training course is delivered via a virtual Zoom classroom with a qualified trainer which will enable students to complete the course at home. The course timings will remain as normal and run for 2 days. The SSSTS course timings are 9am to 5pm.
All students attending the SSSTS Online Training course must be able to access a laptop or PC to complete the course work, registration forms and test. You must also have a webcam to join the SSSTS Class.

Our most advanced First Aid course is the three-day First Aid at Work course. It equips you with a broad set of abilities required of any workplace first responder. Three days of hands-on, interactive First Aid instruction. Learn the skills and qualifications you’ll need to work as a First Aider on the job. You will receive a certificate after successfully completing the course that is valid for three years. This is in accordance with the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act.

- Manage the Transportation of a Casualty

- Practical demonstration and use of an AED
All candidates must possess a good understanding of reading, speaking and writing English. This course will be carried out in English and as such, it is important that candidates can communicate in English.
Assessment:
The SSSTS course must be attended in full for the 2 days. The exam for the SSSTS training is multiple choice with written answers as well.
In order to pass the SSSTS, candidates must achieve 80% in their exam. If candidates score less than this, they may be able to re-sit another exam subject to meeting the required marks. We offer FREE resits for candidates who need to retake the exam only.
Renewal
The SSSTS Course Certificate is valid for 5 years and can be renewed with a 1-Day refresher course to maintain the qualification for another 5 years.
Following successful completion of the First Aid course, each student is awarded with a HSE Certificate which is valid for 3 years. Under current guidelines it is strongly recommended that you refresh your First Aid skills once every 12 months through a half day refresher course.
We only use trainers who are approved with CITB and have delivered training to a high standard with exceptional feedback over the years.
The trainers employed by Safety Alert are presently working or ex emergency service professionals. Each trainer has many years of life saving experiences and techniques to share with you.
