Terms & Conditions
Any booking with Safety Alert Training will be subject to the following terms and conditions. Please ensure you have read these as they may affect your rights.
1. BOOKINGS
1.1 All SAFETY ALERT Training prices are subject to change until the customer has made the payment in full or paid a deposit to secure the booking.
1.2 Customers who make a booking via website, phone or email are liable for the outstanding amount(s).
1.3 All bookings are subject to availability of spaces.
1.4 Reservations made online can be transferred to any individual who is eligible to attend, providing that the transfer is made before the course date.
1.5 In the unlikely event it becomes necessary to change the venue of your training. We will notify all candidates via email, text or telephone at least 24 hours before the start of the course where necessary.
1.6 It is the responsibility of the delegate for all identity forms filled out to ensure the name is correct. If there is any mistake on certification after the form has been filled, SAFETY ALERT Training will charge an admin fee to rectify the error. Admin fees will be notified to the delegate in due time.
2. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
2.1 Bookings made online, in person or over the phone can be transferred, cancelled, or postponed if notice is given 72 hours prior to the course starting. Failure to notify SAFETY ALERT Training will result in the full price being charged and no refund given.
2.2 No refund will be issued for non-attendance on a course with no prior notice. The full course fee will still be payable if there is a balance outstanding.
2.3 In the unlikely event SAFETY ALERT Training cancels your course, damages shall be limited to a full refund of the course fee only.
2.4 All booking confirmation emails are sent automatically to customers and although rare, they can be rejected by the recipient’s email server. If you have not received the joining instructions, we advise that you check your spam/junk mail. It is the responsibility of the customer to notify SAFETY ALERT Training if they do not receive any joining instructions so non-attendance, insufficient ID, or lateness will not be accepted even in this circumstance. Customers will be required to reschedule their training and further charges will incur.
2.5 Please note: Under the Sales of Goods Act/Distance Selling Act/Consumer Contracts Regulations time-specific services such as training and examination events/courses/sessions are exempt from statutory refund rights.
3. RESCHEDULING
3.1 You are required to have the correct ID on you throughout the training, if you fail to provide the correct ID on the course and on the exam day you will need to reschedule your training and you will need to make a new booking.
3.2 You can reschedule your training free of charge within 72 hours prior to the course starting.
4. SUPPLY OF TRAINING
4.1 Course durations/times displayed on our website, emails and/or other literature are for general guidance purposes only. Due to numerous factors such as individual class sizes, existing knowledge/experience of candidates and unforeseen circumstances; courses may run for durations/times longer or shorter than advertised. Course coordinators have overall authority/discretion on the exact start and finish times of individual courses.
5. ADMISSION
5.1 100% attendance is a required on all our courses. Lateness will not be tolerated.
5.2 It is the responsibility of the candidate booking onto the course to ensure they are eligible to attend. Ineligible candidates will be refused on the day and no refund will be issued.
5.3 Reservations made online can be transferred to any individual who is eligible to attend. This must be notified to SAFETY ALERT Training prior to the course beginning.
6. ABUSE
6.1 We do not tolerate any sort of unacceptable behaviour or abusive language towards staff and such behaviour will lead to exclusion from the course for which you will not receive a refund.
7. CERTIFICATION
7.1 Customers will be responsible replacement certificates. SAFETY ALERT Training accepts no liability for misplaced certificates. The replacement certificate fee is £45.
7.2 All certificates are posted via royal mail. Once posted by Royal Mail, it is the responsibility of the candidate to be available to receive that by Royal Mail. All return post will be charged £10 for admin. Collections can be made by customers as per SAFETY ALERT Training opening and closing times.
7.4 In some cases, awarding bodies may issue digital certificates. These certificates will be processed by the admin team at SAFETY ALERT Training and then sent to the delegate’s email address provided at the time of booking. In rare circumstances, this certificate email may end up in the junk/spam folder for the delegate. As this outside of our control, the delegate has the responsibility to check their email folders properly before raising the issue with SAFETY ALERT Training.
8. RESITS
8.1 CITB Courses:
*Pass Assurance service for our CITB courses has a fair usage limit of 2 re-sit sessions.
Please note: Pass Assurance can only be availed at the time of the initial course booking.
9.TRAINING PROVIDERS
If you are a training provider and wish to advertise your courses on our website the following applies to you:
9.1 To advertise your courses on SAFETY ALERT Training, there is no cost to you. We only charge a fee per registration that we make for you. The fee will be agreed mutually. This may depend on the number of delegates registered. If there is a need to change the fees, both parties will come to a mutual understanding.
9.2 Fees can be paid via phone or BACS transfer. Failure to keep up with the agreed terms will result in immediate cancellation of the agreement and SAFETY ALERT Training will no longer take future bookings. This may also impact existing bookings still undergoing a course with SAFETY ALERT.
10. IN-HOUSE TRAINING
10.2 It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all delegates arrive on time and with the proper form of ID. Failure to do so, may result in the trainer cancelling the course and the full course cost will be due.
10.1 If a course is booked on site, the terms and conditions still apply in relation to rescheduling, refunds, resit fees etc.
